History:
April 7, 1975, born in the valley of Cochabamba AMARU GROUP, whose name is taken in honor of the caudillo Tupac Amaru (José Gabriel Condorcanqui), who fought for the freedom of America against the English yoke. His ideals and dignity of his race came to South America. So three young men proud of their race and culture, took the guitar, the charango, the flutes, the siku (panpipes) and bombo, to sing to Bolivia and the World of hope and greatness of its people, Dexter Pérez, Raúl Meneces and Antezana Herbert started the way of what is now constitutes heritage and pride of the Bolivian AMARU GROUP.
AMARU
's contribution to the Bolivian music began in 1976 with the album "Serenade" BOLIVIA "on the label Discolandia. Nine months later he was invited to be part of group B. Jorge Claros, who then would become one of the most representative voices of the group and the Bolivian folklore. AMARU thereafter became one of the most representative vocal groups of the country, and in 1978 recorded the album called "Indian" in the label Heriban. Four years later he joined the group Marco Cossio and Themis Aranibar to replace Raul Antezana Meneces and Herbert who leave the country. AMARU recorded his third album called "MOSK'OY" in the Company recording Heriban, whose work emphasized the theme Cholita Cochabamba, one of the classics of the repertoire huayños Amaru group. Two years later he joined the group forming sta Miguel Mengoa way quintet and recorded his fourth plate called "After You" on the label Heriban, the item which received many awards.
it is at this time due to travel abroad to some of its members AMARU enters a mandatory break, who served two of its founders George Dexter and preparing new repertoire, and seek new members, a draft that would Amaru group to be considered one of the professional groups in Bolivia, since all its members are working full musical work, and are invited to join the group leading interpreter Alfredo Coca Charango, Rolando Siles with a particular voice, José Luis Medina, Oscar Bermudez, who with their talent, charm and professionalism won the public of Bolivia and Latin America. In 1989 he recorded the album called "return to love" theme that was preferred in each of Amaru group presentations. The year 1991 recorded the album called "NO WAITING" whose length album highlights the issue Saya de Amor, this rhythm takes its peak among young children and people of all ages, from this moment becoming Saya on one of the most representative dances of Bolivia.
Amaru In 1993 he recorded his seventh full length album called "Companion", an issue that was acclaimed by the public. Amaru group in 1995 is twenty years of artistic work, and record the length album called " Our twenty years, are invited to join the group to Idar Borda excellent musician and a young composer, in 1997 Amaru recorded his ninth full length album called "THE SPELL OF THE SAYA." These last five plates in the Company recorded record Lauro and Co. .
In 1999 The Amaru group recorded a new full length album entitled "NOW IS THE TIME" Discolandia seal.
The same year the band performed Amaru change inviting members to join the group to Eduardo Taborga in the interpretation of the winds and Hugo Pereira in playing the guitar in place of Oscar Bermudez and Idar Borda.
In 2000 Amaru group meets its Silver Jubilee tirelessly singing the Bolivian people and the world, performing at the national level, receiving many awards for Business and Government institutions for their work for twenty-five years. Amaru months later invited to join the group to Francisco Rocha in playing the guitar and softly in place of Dexter Perez, who left the group for professional reasons.
In 2001 the group recorded its tenth Amaru first album called "DE BOLIVIA TO THE WORLD", with new musical ideas in terms of rates is concerned, consolidating his artistic work, hoping to be liked by all who appreciate our music.
In 2002, for professional reasons, Alfredo Coca leaves the group and its replacement member of the group in July talented young Rocabado charanguista to Complete famous bands.
In 2003, the Group continued the task Amaru to continue growing our music concerts and various festivals nationally and internationally. Sandro Group are integrated in the Charango Taborga and Ivan Calizaya in Lower-mail.
In 2004 the Group Amaru, made extensive tours of Brazil and Peru as well as concerts and presentations throughout the national territory.

Amaru comes to her 31 years of life at a time when our music Bolivian going through difficult times, but still the strong concern and conviction of the group to keep up the name and prestige of Bolivian folklore, for children young and proud people of their land to enjoy their huayños, skirts, tinkus, tunes, cuecas, kullawadas and brunette, through discs and video clip highlights the colorful, beauty and sentiment of the Bolivian people that walk through the world giving know a rich and ancient culture, claiming values \u200b\u200bof community, reciprocity and respect for human beings.
